BECAUSE I WANTED TO!

I suppose I'm a little defensive because I usually steer away from blog "fill out" things. But I felt like it! And yes, you feel like reading it. And loving it.

1. What did you do in 2010 that you'd never done before?: Threw up on Jeff, threw up in a public place in such a heinous way that it made a girl scream, had a contraction, went into labor again... and again... and again, stayed in bed for 2 months, had a friggin baby. And he is dee-lightful.

2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?: No, I didn't make New Years' resolutions, because I had the quick wits about me to know that I would not keep them. I never make specific resolutions, just general internal renewals of the projection of the person I want to be.

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?: Ha. Next question.

4. Did anyone close to you die?: Not anyone close to me.

5. What countries did you visit?: This one.

6. What would you like to have in 2011 that you lacked in 2010?: Personal direction. My own body. A rockin' vacation.

7. What date(s) from 2010 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?: March 20th, the day my body betrayed me. May 12th, the day I forgave it. May 28th, our first day as a real family.

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?: Staying on bedrest and being a mother.

9. What was your biggest failure?: Not being more diligent with my education.

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?: Ha.

11. What was the best thing you bought?: A Jumperoo. (Technically, Grandma Lougee bought it, but it's my favorite investment.

12. Whose behavior merited celebration?: Jeff's, My dad's, Steve's.

13. Whose behavior made you appalled?: Lady Gaga. She wore meat. That's a health code violation and just so gross. Also, a lot of her lyrics don't make sense.

14. Where did most of your money go?: Hospital bills.

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about? How cute Adam was (is)! Yes, maybe that's shallow, but I just adore how adorable he is.

16. What song will always remind you of 2010?: "Mr. Wiggles is my Favorite Friend." Written and performed by me.

17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
i. happier or sadder?: Happier, but in a different way.
ii. thinner or fatter?: Thinner? Less round, but I weigh just as much.
iii. richer or poorer?: Richer? Maybe? We have a nice fellowship, but no income.

18. What do you wish you'd done more of?: Studied.

19. What do you wish you'd done less of?: Wasted time on Facebook.

20. How will you be spending Christmas?: In 2011? In Sandy, if the schedule is to be believed.

21. What was the most embarrassing thing that happened to you in 2010?: Probably the aforementioned throwing up incidents.

22. Did you fall in love in 2010?: Yes! With 2 men.

23. How many one-night stands?: Melon belly? Bedrest? Poop in the hair? 2010 was not a sexy time for me. Also, I'm married.

24. What was your favorite TV program?: 30 Rock, How I Met Your Mother, Community.

25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?: The majority of the characters on Glee.

26. What was the best book you read?: East of Eden, by far. (Some good rereadings of Christy, The Westing Game, and A Town Like Alice, though.)

27. What was your greatest musical discovery?: Probably those crazy kids from Glee that I hate so much.

28. What did you want and get?: A Bumbo.

29. What did you want and not get?: A non-NICU baby.

30. What was your favorite film of this year?: Inception was really good, so was How to Train your Dragon. Those were basically all of the movies I went and saw last year. But we rented Little Dorrit and that rocked my world!

31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?: 22, I think we went to Hamilton's- I really don't remember. I got Mario Kart and an awesome cushion.

32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?: Graduating, I guess.

33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2010?: Sweat pants.

34. What kept you sane?: Jeff Carr and his unnerving devotion to me.

35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?: Fancy? Matthew MacFadyen. Have a crush on? Joseph Gordon-Leavitt.

36. What political issue stirred you the most?: Partisan politics and how dumb Barbara Boxer's ads were.

37. Who did you miss?: Suzanne. Everyone, once I moved away.

38. Who was the best new person you met?: Um, totally Adam.

39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2010: Never under-value faith.

40. Quote a song lyric that sums up your year: "I have a family here on earth, they are so good to me."

Thank you for your 5 minutes.

You over thanked me. It took me precisely 2 minutes and 47 seconds to read this not five. (I timed it.) It would have been simply two minutes if your lady gaga answer didn't make me laugh so hard that I cried.

Ok that's hilarious that I accidentally stole your song lyrics for mine. I did it subconsciously I swear!

It took me longer than five minutes to read this. You're welcome. I'm going to ignore the fact that I'm a slow reader and blame it on my eye doctor, his name is Bart, he dilated my eyes something fierce. Also, I'm about to add you to my blog roll. Woot!
