Wehadababyitsaboy.

Does anyone else remember this commercial? A classic.

On May 12th, Adam Kenneth Carr was born. He weighed 6 pounds, 2 ounces. He was a month early and had to stay in the NICU for 16 days. He had an infection and some fluid in his lungs, but mostly he needed to learn how to eat. That was one of the hardest periods of my life, but we've been rewarded with an awesome baby. You could try, but there's no possible way you could convince me that there is a cuter, smarter, or sweeter baby in the world.

It's been nice having a private blog, because for a long time I didn't feel like having complete strangers study my life. It's been a hard few months. I went into premature labor on March 20th (reasons unknown) and was on complete bedrest until Adam was born. I had to sacrifice a lot of things, including school. As of right now, I'm a semi-college drop out. Luckily, I can finish my classes by correspondence. It's not a pretty race to the finish, but that's ok. I'll be done soon.

Oh yeah. And that big grad school decision? Made. I'm proud to report that Jeff got into Columbia, Oregon, Indiana, NYU, Georgetown and Stanford. After about 30 seconds of deliberating, we decided to go to Stanford. We move to California (Yes, that's where Stanford is. Nobody seems to know that one.) in early September. We're excited to start this new, incredibly impoverished phase of our lives.

So I guess this ushers in the reemergence of my public blog. I really am pro-public blogs, being a huge blog stalker myself. I've been worried about forgetting to link people. I know that's so stupid, but I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings. The best way to get me to put you as a link is to comment. And if you really don't care if I forgot/continue to forget to put you as a link, congrats. You are a much more mature person than I.

Well, I better go. Adam and I are solving complex equations whilst listening to Mozart.

Or possibly dancing around the room to Disney music.

This is Liz Durham from high school...you may have entirely forgotten who I am, but I just wanted to say that I am glad your blog is private because I am a total blog-stalker too. Anyway, your baby is darling, and congrats on the move!

...and by "is private", I mean "is not private"...
Now I've made two unnecessary comments!...

I'm glad to hear you can still finish your degree and that is a great commercial. Welcome back to the public sphere.

Congrats again. I'm glad you can finish up long distance with school (good luck). Adam is a beautiful baby.

Yay for not being private anymore! :) I remember that commercial - it was so funny! Adam is super cute! I love his hair! That's exciting about the move in September too!
